The Smart Keyboard Folio attaches to the 12.9-inch iPad Pro (3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th generation) via Apple's Smart Connector, so there's nothing to charge or pair. It works the moment you clip it on.
It doubles as both a case and a keyboard, protecting the front and back of the iPad while folding into two viewing angles for typing or watching. The keys are covered in a water-resistant woven fabric, and the layout supports full keyboard shortcuts using the Command key, along with access to the on-screen keyboard for accented characters and dictation.
It's a simpler alternative to the Magic Keyboard: there's no backlighting and no trackpad, but it's noticeably lighter and doesn't need a battery.
