iPhone X Features
A11 & A12 Chips
One of the main features of our refurbished iPhone X series is the Bionic chip upgrade.
The iPhone X comes with the A11 chip, and the iPhone XR, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max come with the A12 Bionic chip. This means that the iPhone X series was the first iPhone to have Face ID.
The A11 chip also means a better camera, including dual rear-facing cameras, improved pixel processing, low-light autofocus and noise reduction.
The difference between the A11 and A12 chips is that the A12 is 15% faster and uses 40% less power. Overall, the A12 wins for efficiency.
Design & Appearance
The iPhone X series was a revolutionary release and a huge change in the iPhone design.
The iPhone X, iPhone XR, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max appear with the display having rounded corners that follow a beautiful, curved rectangular design. The screen is edge-to-edge and larger, too.
With a pixel density of 459ppi and a vivid OLED panel, the display is noticeably better. The introduction of True Tone technology, which colour balances against ambient light, makes the iPhone X series significantly better than its predecessor.
The iPhone X and iPhone XR are built with aerospace-grade aluminium, making them durable and less prone to bending. They also have a glass front and back.
The iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max are built with a surgical-grade stainless steel casing, which is tough and anti-corrosive. They both have a glass front and back.
Keeping it simple, the iPhone X comes in two colours - silver and space grey. The iPhone XR is much more adventurous, with six colours to choose from - blue, white, black, yellow, coral and red. Whereas the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max have kept it simple, like the X with an extra option - silver, space grey and gold.
Storage Capacity
The iPhone X and iPhone XR are both available in 64GB and 256GB. The two models are water resistant up to one metre for 30 minutes.
The iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max are available in 64GB, 256GB and 512GB. Both models are water resistant up to two metres for 30 minutes.
Weight
The iPhone X weighs 174 grams, the iPhone XR weighs 194 grams, the iPhone XS weighs 177 grams, and the iPhone XS Max weighs 208 grams.
Screen Display
The iPhone X comes with a 5.8-inch Super Retina HD display.
The iPhone XR has a 6.1-inch Liquid Retina HD display and all-screen LCD with IPS technology. The backlight fills the corners, so we can see everything from one edge of the display to the other.
The iPhone XS has a 5.8-inch OLED Super Retina HD display.
The iPhone XS Max has the largest display of all the iPhone X series with a 6.5-inch OLED Super Retina HD display. The OLED HDR Super Retina display makes watching video a more immersive and vivid viewing experience.
All of the models in the iPhone X series offer up to 625 nits brightness, with wide colour and True Tone to offer a more natural viewing experience.
Camera
Another feature of the iPhone X series is that it has an upgraded camera system, better than the earlier iPhone models.
The iPhone XR has a single rear camera, while the iPhone X, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max all have dual rear cameras.
Although all models have Portrait mode, only the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max let you adjust the blur after the photo has been taken. The selfies you’ll take from the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max from TrueDepth also get an upgrade by making the selfies appear more flattering.
Video Recording
All refurbished iPhone X models have 4K recording capability at 24fps, 25fps, 30fps or 60fps and 1080p HD video recording at 25fps, 30fps or 60fps.
The iPhone XS shoots with an extended dynamic range in videos up to 30fps. 24fps is the default when shooting video, and it creates the flicker you see in videos of film, which makes it appear choppier. For quality videos great for Instagram or YouTube, shoot at 30fps.
The iPhone XR, which only has a single lens, still provides many of the same camera features as the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max.
