It runs on an A7 chip with 64-bit architecture and M7 motion coprocessor, offering a Retina display with an amazing viewing experience with 7.9-inch (diagonal) LED-backlit Multi-Touch display with IPS technology, 2048 x 1536 pixel res at 326 pixels per inch. This notable change in the inclusion of a Retina Display is an upgrade by matching the screen resolution of the full-sized Retina iPad models. Alongside the 7.9-inch screen, the iPad Mini 3 (Wi-Fi) includes the "Lightning" port for power and connecting the device to a computer allowing you to maximize productivity.
When it comes to battery life, you will be happy to know that the iPad Mini 3 (Wi-Fi) is equipped with a built-in 23.8-watt-hour rechargeable lithium-polymer battery. This can power up the device for up to 10 hours of surfing the web on Wi‑Fi, watching video, or listening to music.
The iPad Mini 3 (Wi-Fi) now comes in three colours. Same with the other iPad Minis, it comes in Silver and Space Gray, but this new device is now available in Gold. Storage capabilities are available in 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB options.
The camera on the iPad Mini 3 (Wi-Fi), includes a 5MP rear 1080p “iSight” camera which features HDR photos, face detection, tap-to-focus video, autofocus, and panorama function. The 1.2MP front 720p "FaceTime HD" camera features face detection, tap to control exposure, and 720p HD video. Speaking of video, this iPad features 1080p HD video recording with 3x video zoom, video stabilization, and time-lapse video.
